RGI contributes to the conversation on AI in insurance at AI & Insurtech event 

Last March, 26^th RGI took part in the latest edition of the “AI & Insurtech” event organized by IIA – Italian Insurtech Association, contributing to a broader industry discussion on how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping insurance. 

During the event, RGI presented its vision on the evolution of core platforms in an AI-driven landscape, with a focus on multi-agent scenarios and the role of integration in enabling real operational use cases. 

In the session titled “AI-first core platform: industrializzare l’assicurazione multiagente”, Marta Leoni, Product Manager at RGI, explored the interaction, across the same journey, between multiple AI assistants, supporting customers, distributors and insurers.  

A key message emerged: the ability of insurance core systems to properly integrate with AI agents will be a critical enabler for scaling these scenarios. +

Later in the day, the discussion was further enriched also by the presentation of a Regtech white paper, developed by the Permanent Legal Committee of the Italian Insurtech Association, addressing governance, regulatory and operational challenges related to AI adoption in insurance. 

The paper highlights the importance of integrating compliance by design and governance into AI-enabled systems, as well as addressing data, security and regulatory constraints, through the collaboration across different players: Insurers, distributors, tech providers and regulators. 

RGI is also referenced within the paper as a use case of an approach that combines innovation with a structured governance framework, reinforcing the importance of balancing technological evolution with regulatory responsibility. 

As AI adoption accelerates in the insurance market, the conversation is clearly evolving from experimentation to industrialization, and from isolated tools to interconnected systems.  

Once again, insurance core platforms and their governance are at the center of this transformation.
