Home Insurance ready to go
From 1 September, insurance companies will by law have to offer home insurance.
From this date in fact, consumers who take out an insurance policy can ask for a dedicated area to be set up on the company's website that they can access with username and password so as to consult their insurance position in real time. They can also check their current insurance coverage and the premium expiry dates, find out the redemption value of their life insurance policies or the value of the benefits for financial type insurance products, consult and download risk status certification for their Motor TPL policies and receive periodic communications from their insurer.
This was decided by Ivass, the Italian insurance regulator, in its measure no. 7, dated 16 July 2013, on home insurance.
