RGI Group and Terre des Hommes

RGI Group and Terre des hommes assist children in North Iraq. Terre des Homes is a NGO that has been striving for over 50 years to protect children all over the world against abuses and violence. Only in 2013, with 92 on-going projects in 20 Countries all over the world, Terre the Hommes helped 400 thousands of children, over 2 millions of people. 

The partnership between RGI Group and Terre des Hommes started on December 2014, during the Campaign “Natale Solidale” of Terre des Hommes. 

RGI decided to support the North Iraq project to help thousands of children running from the war, that can receive education, assistance and support through directly interventions. 

Children are living in refugee conditions without the possibility of attending the school. 

Thanks to RGI Group, Terre des Hommes has set up a “House of Sun” in the refugee camp of Basirma. This space suitable for children offers daily psychological support and recreational activities daily centre to protect children in the tent city in the Sepolcro of Mar Elia Church, in the Christian district of Ainkawa (Erbil). 

Furthermore, Terre des Hommes also launched a child protection mobile unit which monitors the situation of a thousand children placed in the refugee camp and deals with cases that require specific care and assistance. 

Thanks to RGI Group, thousands of children will take back their childhood.
